DESCRIPTION OF THE STEP TRAINEESHIP PROVIDER

ELSA is the world's largest association for law students and young lawyers. With its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, ELSA has 70,000 individual members at over 350 law faculties in 44 countries.

Are you interested in becoming an internationally recognised published author? ELSA International is looking for authors tasked with drafting and compiling a Concluding Report on the topic of internet censorship.

The authors will be given access to research conducted in 24 different jurisdictions on topics including taking down and blocking internet contents, online hate speech and liability of internet intermediaries. Based on this research, the authors are asked to compile the research and drawing out the key findings and conclusions under each research question. Each author will be responsible for one chapter of the Concluding Report. The author team will comprise around 10 people who will be supported in their work by ELSA International and the Academic Coordinators.

The Concluding Report will be professionally published by Wolf Publishers with an ISB-Number. This means that the authors may be referenced for their work and gain academic recognition.

Furthermore, the report will be shared with major decision-makers such as the Council of Europe and the United Nations.

This STEP Traineeship is available as an ONLINE vacancy only this time.
