The Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM) (Institut für Klimaschutz, Energie und Mobilität e.V.) is a non-profit think tank that explores energy-transition pathways towards a sustainable society, focussing on the interactions between the legal, economic, and political framework behind Germany’s Energiewende.
At IKEM, more than 40 scientists work together under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr. Michael Rodi. IKEM is a public charity and affiliated with the University of Greifswald. Since 2017, the Institute has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

The tasks of the Trainee include inter alia:
- Working closely with research and law teams;
- Supporting the activities for our research projects on renewable energy, energy efficiency and innovative forms of mobility as well as other upcoming projects;
- Depending on the academic background and the level of qualification of the Trainee, conducting independent law research and legal analysis within the projects;
- Some administrative functions (e.g. project management), other duties and special projects as necessary
