ARSIS is a Greek NGO operating in the field of child and youth protection. It was founded in 1992 and its main aim is to protect children at risk, as well as assist the re-integration of vulnerable groups such as the homeless, ex-prisoners, the unemployed, etc.
ARSIS supports minors experiencing life conditions that may hinder, prevent, suspend or obstruct their smooth personal development and access to social goods and conditions, e.g. inadequate support from their families, neglect, abuse, exploitation, rejection by the education system, immigration, refugee status, homelessness, unemployment, conflicts with the law, institutionalization or imprisonment, etc.
ARSIS operates various structures in the cities of Thessaloniki, Athens, Ioannina, Alexandroupoli, Kozani and Volos
The trainees will be assigned assisting legal tasks in one of ARSIS' Accommodation Units for unaccompanied minors. They will assist the Organization's lawyers regarding asylum requests, civil procedure tasks, as well as promoting European networking and collecting case-law and lesiglation.
Therefore, interest and knowwledge in Refugee, Migration, Child Protection and Human Rights Law is essential. Knowledge of Greek is extremely desired.

The trainees (2) will be assigned in two different periods in similar units for the unpaid traineeship: One (1) trainee will be accepted for the period of 1 July-30 September, and one (1) for 1 October-31 December 2019.
