TRAINEESHIP TASKS

Case and management (these duties will be conducted under supervision:
Conduct interviews;
Gain understanding of client expectations and requirements;
Asses legal problems;
Conduct legal research;
Construct strategy for a case;
Draft case papers;
Obtain information from relevant experts;
Assess stregths and weakness from the other side's case;
Attend court with a lawyer to take notes;
Maintain confidentiality at all times;
Comply with all office procedure requirements;

Administration:
Maintain the training record;
Conduct self-appraisal and development planning;
Actively participate in supervision and appraisal;
Maintaim files;
Follow administrative systems and procedures;

Development
Gain competency in the skill stardards;
Participate in team meetings, social and charitable
activities;
Attend internal courses;
Keep up to date with law and practice;
Achieve admission to the roll.

You will be expected to communicate clearly and appropriately with other parties whilst maintaining excellent working
relationships. Other duties include being able to negotiating with clients and other professionals to secure the desired goal(s).
Academic Skills:

You should a good academic record at University and passed all the necessary law exams.

Organisational Skills:

You will be expected to assist in the preparation of cases, usually under pressure and to tight deadlines. You must, therefore, be
able to prioritise tasks.

Management Skills:

You will have the ability to view situations from a commercial or business perspective. This requires you to look at a situation
from different angles.

The knowledge and abilitt to speak in portuguese is not a must. However for the non-portuguese speakers is mandatory to be able to communicate, understand, read and write in english at a level C1.
